Our final module is a workshop-based event, designed to allow individuals and/or local fellowships to consider their response to what they have learned through the Omega Programme.
It is insufficient merely to be ‘hearer of the word’. We need to be a ‘doer’. Faith without works is dead, it has legs, so it is vital that we prayerfully consider what we need to do differently going forward, and how that can practically be achieved.
The capstone module should result in a personal and/or Church-wide action plan. It should be quite specific and achievable, and should result in effective change in behaviour based on Bible principles. It may cover such things as having a different emphasis in worship, Bible study, memorising scripture, evangelism, supporting the persecuted church, change of career, or even growing a few vegetables or fitting a solar panel. Forewarned is forearmed, and the wise virgins had sufficient oil in their lamps at the right time.
